Trinidad sold out on Bachchans’ ‘Unforgettable’ tour


“Unforgettable”, the much-talked about world tour of the Bachchans of Bollywood, is making waves in Trinidad and Tobago as advance bookings for the show here this month have been overwhelming. The event is expected to be a complete sell-out even though ticket prices are beyond the reach of the average fan, say ticket agents.
The star studded show that will kick off in Toronto, Canada, July 18 will reach Trinidad and Tobago July 20 at Queen’s Park Oval here. It is the only Caribbean venue to be included on the show’s international itinerary. Read the full story

Bollywood’s lovable comic actor Paresh Rawal, who in a way gave a whole new meaning to comedies, now admits that he was actually ashamed of some of the recent films he did. “See I’m not bored with comedy. But I’m definitely bored with some of the comedies that I have to do. Some of my recent comedies made me die of shame,” Paresh told IANS in an interview.
“Last year, I was proud of ‘Cheeni Kum’. That was a classy comedy. But the rest of the comedies were an assault on our sensibility. So I can imagine what they did to the audience,” said the actor, who gave a new lease of life to comedies with Priyadarshan in “Hera Pheri”. Read the full story

Vidya Balan and Rakhi Sawant hit it off and how


Actress Vidya Balan was invited to Rakhi Sawant’s new talk show and the two ended up becoming good friends. Truly Indian teen movie still a far cry in Bollywood


It had all the makings of covering every aspect of growing up in a country that is transitioning faster than any other place on earth, but “Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na” falls just short of becoming a truly Indian teen movie. The newest offering of actor-director-producer Aamir Khan, that launches his nephew Imran, has everything going for it on the technical, creative and commercial fronts. Released on Friday, it is raking in rave reviews and is all set to run to full houses for many weeks to come.
