Obstetrics, Gynaecology Post-graduate Training Being Developed


The capacity of human resources in the health sector is gradually increasing as more specialists are being trained to deal with new services being implemented at the public health institutions.
Minister of Health Dr. Leslie Ramsammy said the ministry is now developing a post-graduate training in obstetrics and gynaecology.
He noted that the head of obstetrics and gynaecology department of the University of Pittsburg will be in Guyana this week to assist the ministry in this regard. He is hopeful that the arrangements for the post-graduate training could be concluded. Read the full story

‘Climate Change’ Among Most Fundamental Threats To Sustainable Development


In echoing the arguments of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) countries about the impact of Climate Change on Caribbean economies, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Carolyn Rodrigues told the Sixth United Kingdom/Caribbean forum which opened today in London that the phenomenon is now among the most fundamental threats to the sustainable development and even existence of the Caribbean region.
